Adam Englander ('94-'95)

A member of Reishit's inaugural year in 1994, from Oceanside, NY, Rav Adam is a "rising star" in the world of Jewish Education. Since his Shana Alef at Reishit, Rav Adam has held numerous positions in the Jewish community, in both formal and informal education, and has earned a stellar reputation as a talented and innovative teacher and administrator.

He has held various positions in Summer Camps (Lavi, Hillel and Mesorah) and has worked with Long Island NCSY and as the Assistant Youth Director at Young Israel of West Hempstead. Before assuming his current position in Boca Raton, Rav Adam spent six years at HAFTR High School as beloved Rebbi and Coordinator of Student Activities. As Reishit's Alumni Director and US Representative for two years, Rav Adam worked closely with his Rabbeim, setting up recruitment meetings, interviews and Alumni activities.

After graduating from Yeshiva University with a degree in Psychology, Rav Adam earned his Semicha from YU/RIETS and a Masters Degree in Jewish Education and Administration from Azrieli, where he is now nearing the completion of his Doctorate.

Rav Adam is currently in his second year as the Upper School Principal (grades 4-8) at Hillel Day School of Boca Raton, a budding school with almost 500 students. He and his wife Shira (nee Friedman) of Fair Lawn NJ, are the proud parents of three children: Gabriella (7), Netanel (3) and Rivka (1).
