Raffle Deadline Extended!
The deadline for the Reishit Yerushalayim Scholarship Fund Travel Raffle has been extended through Elul Zman and the Chagim, in order to give everyone the opportunity to support this fundraising effort and purchase raffle tickets. Proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets will go to help support forthcoming students with tuition assistance.
The winning ticket will now be drawn on October 31, 2008. The winner will have access to an $18,000 travel account at Ariel Tours which can be used for airfare, hotel accommodations and ground transportation in Israel for 18 months from the date of drawing. Alternatively, the prize amount may be applied towards tuition for a year of study at Reishit Yerushalayim.
Reishit Yerushalayim has always maintained the philosophy that every qualified young man should have the opportunity to spend a year learning Torat Yisrael in Eretz Yisrael no matter his family’s socio-economic status. More and more, prospective students are experiencing strong financial pressures that may force them to opt out of the Israel experience altogether. The Rebbeim at Reishit are concerned that without continued scholarship assistance many young men will not be able to attend, and they are committed to help as many of these students as possible. In order to sustain this effort, the support of the whole Reishit community is needed.
We especially encourage all former talmidim to participate in the Scholarship Raffle.
